Course outline
Welcome, course objectives, and the Be a Designer drawing activity, which lets participants experience the discomfort of constant, unexplained change first-hand.
Defines change as a transition between states and examines why organizations change, who is involved, common change situations, types of change, obstacles to successful change, and the difference between change management and change leadership.
Participants work through a change scenario, compare approaches to managing change, and study Lewin's unfreeze-change-refreeze model with concrete actions for each stage.
Covers why employees resist change and what managers can do about it, with sections on communication, judging how much information to give, providing support, and empowering staff.
Each participant builds a personal change leadership plan to apply the course content to a real change they need to lead, followed by a recap of the objectives.
