The three rules that matter
- Learners are unlimited. Once the package is on your LMS, no counter is running. No per-seat fees, no annual renewal, no expiry.
- The licence is per organisation. Everyone inside your organisation may take the course. Learners outside it — a client's staff, a partner, the public — are not covered.
- The package stays with the license. You may host it; you may not resell, sublicense, republish or hand it on. We should be straight about what that package is: a SCORM course has to run offline inside your LMS, so it is one self-contained file, and everything in it — the script, the narration, the images — can be opened and read by anyone holding it. That is a property of the format, not a gap in ours, and no course that runs offline is different. What stays with us is the production source behind it: the authoring pipeline, the scene specifications, and the prompts the imagery and voices were generated from. So the rule is a licence rule rather than a technical one, and it is the one we enforce.
How the license is enforced
Your license is recorded against your order, and that record is what governs. Every purchaser receives the same SCORM package, so there is no per-order stamp inside it; white-label builds are the exception, generated for one organisation and carrying its identity throughout. We would rather none of this ever matters: if you need to cover learners beyond your own organisation, talk to us and terms exist for it. Honest mistakes get honest fixes; commercial redistribution gets pursued.
Common cases
Freelance trainer or consultancy. The standard license covers your own organisation, not your clients’. If you want to put MIZAN courses in front of client staff, ask about reseller terms before you buy.
Internal L&D team. The standard case. One purchase per course, loaded onto your LMS, open to every employee with no seat count and no renewal.
Training company serving several client organisations. Contact us for reseller or multi-organisation terms — priced case by case, because each client organisation needs its own coverage.
